Part 1

What is "Pay It Forward".
Pay It Forward is an act of kindness towards a person (3 people). This means helping a person do something kind, then that person will hopefully do something kind to another person then it continues and spreads.

Part 2

What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
My Pay It Forward act of kindness was to buy toys and make cards to donate them to the Children's Hospital with a few group members (Corinne, Alieha, Marla, Tiana and Joyce).

Why did you choose this activity?
We chose this activity because we wanted to start the new year with helping other people. We decided to give toys to the children because we wanted them to have something to play with and enjoy while they are in the hospital, and for the nurses we decided to give them letters because we wanted to show our appreciation and that they are very hard working, also that they help children who are in need.

Who did you help?
Our group didn't really help people, but we gave back by giving toys to children so they could play with it and enjoy there stay at the hospital. For the nurses we wanted to remind them that we are very thankful to have them.

What did you do?
What we did was go to the hospital and donate some brand new toys and give letters to the workers.

When did you do your act of kindness?
Our group did our act of kindness on Saturday, January 4, 2014.

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?
Our act of kindness went pretty well, but our plan was last minute. The workers were very surprised and very happy.

What happened?
We all met up at around 12:00 and we went to the third floor and saw a lady at the front desk. We asked her if we could donate some toys and give letters to the nurses but she told us that we couldn't give it to them in person because we might bother them and we can't just walk into there room but she was very kind enough to give the toys to the children and they thanked us.

How did you feel?
At first when I walked into the hospital I was a bit scared that something bad was going to happen and that we weren't allowed to donate toys to the children but we were allowed to and after giving them the toys and cards and seeing all the workers have a smile on there face. I felt really great! It was a fun experience but it went by quite fast.

How did the person or people react?
They were quite shocked and very thankful seeing us donating toys and giving the workers letters.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
Yes we did tell them to Pay It Forward and we explained it as well.

How did they react to your request?
They were amazed and happy with our request, they also told us that they will definitely Pay It Forward as well.

Part 4

Why is the idea of "Pay It Forward" important?
The idea of Pay It Forward is very important because we want to make a difference and spread the word all across the world and also because some people in different countries all around the world don't have what we have, some people might not have water or not even education. Paying It Forward shows us that if we try we can make a difference. We might all have a smile on our faces if all did Pay It Forward! Even if its not that big of a difference you still tried.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?
I think our group made a difference but our act of kindness might not have been big but Im still really thankful that we donated toys and made workers smile by paying it forward Just by looking at their reactions I was very amazed and I really didn't expect that just by doing one small action.
